The Heritage Theater Ensemble will perform scenes from play featured in the Beinecke Exhibition “Casting Shadows” on Saturday, April 18 at 1 p.m. at Beinecke Library, 121 Wall Street.
The Heritage Theater Ensemble, Yale’s premier black undergraduate theater group, is partnering with the Beniecke Library on a one-day showcase of scenes and monologues from plays featured in Casting Shadows: Intergation on the American Stage, an exhibition on view at the library. The plays from which the material was selected include, but are not limited to, Native Son by Richard Wright and Paul Green and In the Red and Brown Water by Yale School of Drama graduate Tarell Alvin McCraney.
