The Yale Collection of American Literature and the Bollingen Prize for American Poetry proudly announce The Bollingen Prize and Wikidata, a new research resource established by Katherine (Kat) Thornton, Yale University Library Digital Conservator and CLIR Postdoctoral Fellow in Data Curation for the Sciences and Social Sciences.

Using Wikidata, “a free and open knowledge base that can be read and edited by both humans and machines,” the tools showcased at The Bollingen Prize and Wikidata explore biographical, geographical, chronological and other information about the 49 winners of the Bollingen Prize, offering new ways to see the Prize’s evolution over time and to view the prizewinners in various contexts.

Stay tuned for more: Wikidata is ongoing and being actively developed and the Bollingen Prize for American Poetry will be awarded for the 50^th time in 2017.
