Biography
Dennis Moore, a University Distinguished Teaching Professor in Florida State University’s English Department, coordinates the American Studies Association’s Early American Matters Caucus and is past president of the Society of Early Americanists. His Beinecke project, via the Reese Fellowship in American Literature and the History of the Book, involves several unpublished MSS by J. Hector St. John de Crèvecoeur, which are helping him revise his introduction to the revised and enlarged edition of Crèvecoeur’s Letters from an American Farmer (London, 1782), a project he has recently completed for inclusion in Harvard University Press’s newly relaunched John Harvard Library.
